100 Men Who Care
Care like a man. Join other local men who want to make a measurable, positive impact right here in the Greater Fredericton Area.
We are not a “separate cause” looking for a share of the few dollars out there. We are simply a group of men who fund existing charities, chosen by our members, to make a large immediate impact on the lives of those in our community.
- Each member nominates their charity of choice, who go in a pool from which 3 names are drawn each quarter.
- The 3 charities give a 5 minute presentation at the quarterly meeting.
- Each man votes for which charity the group will fund that quarter.
- Cheques are made out directly to the chosen charity and presented to them that evening. $10,000 in real money to a charity in our own backyard.
- We do it 4 times a year.
Between 2014 and 2015, 100 Men Who Care Fredericton raised thousands of dollars each quarter for local charities The Jon Wood Foundation, Fredericton Food Bank, Fredericton Community Kitchen, Meals on Wheels, Fredericton Sexual Assault Crisis Centre, Autism Connections and York Sunbury Search&Rescue. Because of men joining together and grouping our donations, our funding provided the opportunity for these charities to do things they simply would NOT have been able to do without our large, one-time donation. It’s pretty simple.
How do you get involved? It’s simple. You join us right here on this website and make a commitment to donating $100 4 times in that year. When you sign up, you nominate a charity. Then you stand by your commitment shoulder to shoulder with other local men… attend the meetings and bring your cheque! It couldn’t be more simple. JOIN US and make a difference.
